Medical and Vision insurance are NOT the same.  Since Bernards Eye Care & Dr. Dente participate with most major medical health plans, the majority of office visits are covered under your medical insurance carrier, minus any copays, coinsurance, or deductibles you may have (which applies to visits to any type of health care provider).  If you are unsure of your eligibility concerning your eye exam and testing, please call your insurance carrier to find out your exact benefits prior to your visit.


We only participate with VSP (Vision Service Plan)s regarding eyewear or contact lenses. Please check with your insurance carrier prior to your visit to find out if you need a referral.
